Sailing Adventure FAQs

Common questions about our Croatian sailing adventures

Do I need sailing experience to charter your yacht?

For bareboat charters, at least one person in your group needs sailing certification and experience. However, we also offer skippered charters where our professional captain handles the navigation, perfect for those with limited or no sailing experience.

How far will we sail each day?

Our itineraries typically include 2-5 hours of sailing per day (approximately 10-30 nautical miles), allowing plenty of time for exploring, swimming, and enjoying each destination. The Lagoon 46 cruises comfortably at 7-8 knots under sail in good conditions.

Can we modify the suggested itineraries?

Absolutely! Our suggested routes provide a framework, but your charter is fully customizable. You can spend more time at favorite locations or adjust the itinerary based on weather conditions and your preferences.

What's the best time of year to sail in Croatia?

The sailing season runs from April through October. July and August offer the warmest weather but are also the busiest. Many experienced sailors prefer the "shoulder seasons" (May-June and September-October) for pleasant temperatures and fewer crowds.

What about mooring and anchoring?

Croatia offers a mix of marinas, town quays, and anchorages. Our itineraries include information about mooring options at each destination. High-season (July-August) marina reservations are recommended. Many beautiful bays offer secure anchoring or mooring buoys.
